Trying to conceive but taking to long?

Feeling disappointed is perfectly natural and common. Building a family unit and parenthood are, for most people, basic reason for life, so when they don’t come easily, it’s ordinary to feel as if something is wrong with you. But blaming yourself, or your partner is a solution. There are constant ups and downs as you start TTC.

Trying to conceive can be very demanding and can often lead to feelings of nervousness and depression. Waiting for  a positive pregnancy test can take forever. It is a good habit to sit and talk to each other as well as other couples TTC. A support group where you can share your thought and exchange information is a recommended way of dealing with the problem. This has evidence of actually helping with conceiving.

If your life is all about basal body temperatures and sex, consider a break from it. Doctors generally agree that charting ovulation to time intercourse can make the process of TTC even more difficult and they ar in no way proven to help conceive. 

If certain meetings are painful for you mentally and emotionally, don’t attend them. Remembering to stay up with your wellbeing, and also look for new ones.  Try to catch up on some hobby you had or always wanted to have. Attend classes for some sort. Try to watch comedy movies and remain happy. The best way to get things right is to stop worry about them.

If you’ve been TTC for over a year, consider seeking help from a specialist.  Ask you G. Practitioner for help and a reference. Even if you are more than 35 years of age, or have had chronic sickness or any other gynecological problems, such as endometriosis or even pelvic inflammatory disease which could make conception more difficult for you. Identifying the problem early makes it easier to diagnose.
